How we work

Timber decking Sydney weather won't beat

Sydney sun and summer storms are hard on outdoor timber. Most deck problems start underneath, with joists that are too far apart, poor drainage or fixings that rust. We build the sub-frame properly first, then lay boards that will stay flat.

Tell us the size of the area, how high it sits off the ground and how you plan to use it. We will talk through hardwood against composite, board direction and stair layout before you commit.

Have ready when you call

Rough size, the height off the ground and any council paperwork.

Questions

Common questions

Related services

Hardwood or composite: which is better?

Hardwood looks and feels like natural timber and needs regular oiling. Composite costs more up front and needs less maintenance. We can talk through both for your space.

Can you repair my existing deck?

Often, yes. If the sub-frame is sound we can replace boards and fix stairs or rails. If the joists are failing we will show you before recommending a rebuild.

Do decks and pergolas need council approval?

It depends on size, height and location. Check with your council or a certifier, and we can build to the approved plans.
